Good morning! It's a gray day here, but I hope you've got some sunshine wherever you happen to be.

First things first, it's Reading Wednesday, and I've got books to talk about.

Shades of Milk and Honey by Mary Robinette Kowal was excellent. It's a Jane Austen-style romance with a twist - everyone can create glamours using magic. The best part about this story is that the magic was subtle and the characters were the main focus. This is not an action-adventure story. It's a sweet modest romance that's a cross between Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility. I know several of you out there would love it.

Right now, I'm reading Nora Roberts's latest book, Whiskey Beach. With romance and suspense, I'm a happy camper. I'm loving it so far.

I've compiled all the notes on my manuscript, WHITE SPIRIT. One beta reader said my main character was an ass. Another said the romance is forced. All three disagreed on the beginning. Looks like I've got my work cut out for me.

I leave you today with two library humor links.

Librarian Problems has a funny take on the day-to-day tasks of a librarian.

Awful Library Books focuses on those really old and outdated that should have been removed from library collections years ago. Some of these you have to see to believe.

Have a good day!
