A schedule. I need to set a schedule.

Dear Producers and Writers of The originals,

I was so happy when I heard Klaus and family would be getting a spin-off. Not because I would get to see Klaus angst all over the place, but because Elijah would be on my TV every week. Elijah is my favorite original.

Episode one started out great. I was starting to 'ship Sophie/Elijah. This was going to be fun. And then...you broke my heart when Elijah was stabbed. What???? Why????

I sat through the second episode hoping Elijah would come back. But, no! Superwitch kicked Rebekah's ass, and Elijah is stuck in his coffin. No, no, no! This was not the show I wanted to see.

You're on notice. If Elijah doesn't come back soon, I may have to drop you.

Finn and Cole fans, I feel your pain.

In happier news, I've got a basic plot for my YA. The bad guys have motivation and names. This time around, I'm going to try an outline before I write. It'll probably look more like a beat sheet instead of the traditional outline. But I hope it'll give me an idea of where I'm going so I won't have tons of scenes I don't need. Yay!

Got any TV show rants and squees you'd like to share?

I'm currently squeeing over how season two of Arrow as started. I also need to catch up on Sleepy Hollow as I loved what I saw in the pilot episode.

I wouldn't offer me a chance to rant for awhile. The Tomorrow People remake has me wondering if the producers and I watched the same show as kids.

I would like the show a lot better if they called it something else.

The original UK shows (there were two versions) were aimed at kids. It's 90% demographics, but honestly, the amount of violence in the new one surprised me.
First episode of the '70s version, when Carol was telling Stephen about The Tomorrow People, she said "we're peaceful, we can't wage wars, and we can't kill. Well not deliberately."

Stephen: What if someone wages war on us.

Carol: It doesn't matter. We can try and stop them. That's all.

So John beating the crap out of those guys was huge culture shock for me.
Also, I think the new version may involve a shorter teleporting range. Or, more accurately, they have the same range, but lack the navigational equipment John in the original series designed to allow them to teleport farther.

Either that or John ran into the subway station for no reason instead of just teleporting back to the lab lair.

There were two previous versions: the '70s one and a 90s remake. The 70s one aired on Nick in the 80s.
I have no handy nineties series icons. Sorry!

For now, I'm keeping faith that Elijah will return soon. He was the main reason I signed on too, although Rebekah alone might hold my attention until he returns.
